Decent work, good subtle benefits. They will spend money on get togethers.
Cons
Politics. Most of the senior leadership has known each other for a while. Some have had personal relationships. And this shines on though. Some anger(Steve Jobs syndrome) amongst leadership.
* I love working on projects that make a difference in people's lives. We help citizens access and utilize essential services.
* The company is grounded in its mission and principles. They are more than just words on paper. We actually use them to drive direction and review our accomplishments.
* My coworkers are competent, confident, communicative...I've run out of C words. I've rarely had the pleasure of working with a team this strong.
* I love working remote and not having a commute. But video conferencing rules mean we still "see" each other on screen. There is still a strong sense of 'team'. I'm not alone despite working from home.
Cons
* Variation in the number of active projects can lead to cycles of "not enough to do" and "completely overwhelmed". I.F. does their best to mitigate, but it happens.
The leadership team is transparent about goals and expectations. I feel that my work positively impacts society. The organization encourages me to explore other areas of interest and supports professional growth. Great vacation policy and insurance benefits. The growth and outlook for the company are shared openly with employees and I feel confident in my future here.
Cons
The workload can vary month to month. Not a lot of face-to-face opportunities with other employees, if working remotely.
