Pros

Great opportunity to do meaningful work with clients and grow your skills. In addition to serving current clients well, Intrepid has attracted some amazing new outsourcing clients (including top tech companies) in the last year, AND has built an awesome new learning technology product that combines social, collaborative & short-form learning. Great outcome for the company (people, clients, etc.) with the sale of the services business to Xerox, and launch of the tech business as a new company!

Cons

As a smaller company, at times there have been limits to the ability to advance to the next level--the Xerox acquisition addresses that for the outsourcing and professional services team members.

Pros

Provides a flexible work environment that will allow you to achieve a work-life balance. Work hours and work location is variable depending on project and/or client. There are many opportunities available to stretch your skills working on high profile projects for Fortune 500 clients and some very smart and experienced learning professionals. Projects are challenging, interesting and varied. You are consulted on whether your skills and experience are a fit for a certain project and/or client before being assigned to a project. You are rewarded and recognized for a job well done and high customer satisfaction. 401K and health insurance benefits are great if you can or do take advantage of them. Paid time off days can accumulate fast!

Cons

As a variable time employee, you are paid based on the number of billable work hours you log per week. Long-term projects with stable clients is like gold. If you can get on a long-term project, you are set. Otherwise, you're on the bench or working just a few hours here and there. It's feast or famine and if you have not experienced that type of environment or are not used to the ups and downs of contract work, you will quickly become dissatisfied. Working remotely can make it difficult to connect with other Intrepid employees and get timely communication about what's going on in the company. You can feel disconnected at times.
