Senior leadership is absolutely terrible, and have no idea what they are doing. They had a lay off and let 1 engineer go in our department. In the next month 3 people quit because of the layoff, and so they had to re-hire the original engineer. 3 more quit because they decided to remove our bonuses and stop trying to hire employees. A few week later the leadership team decided to move all the remaining jobs to Europe, despite the fact that we have been working extra hard to cover for the losses. 2 days after the second layoffs all the jobs were posted in Europe an addition to the ones we have been asking for the entire time.

There are lots of smart people in the company and the the technology is great. Nice work/life balance.

Terrible senior management. Too many acquisitions that have failed. Because of that, we went through 2 rounds of layoffs in 6 months.

Lack of product engineering and specification development in Connected transport business unit. Surprise mass layoff a few weeks after all hands meeting saying how well we were doing. Pay increases are low but annual bonuses make up for it, sort of. CEO is a great guy

Few great people work for the company with tremendous academic excellence and wonderful experience. The technologies and work is very interesting.

The management is just not connected with the rest of the organization. I should say that the management is not honest to the employees and believe in just firing a batch just to hire new (cheap) employees in a project. They did it in 2012 with massive layoffs and then again in 2013. The environment since then is toxic and not healthy. The morale of the employees is still down. Basically, the management who calls themselves SLT just simply do not care. Many brilliant folks have left the organization and the company has not done anything to fill those gaps. Company has come down to certain low life strategies to get rid of employees by mentally forcing them to resign and planning a constructive dismissal against them. In Ottawa office it’s all about power showing/drift. If you’re reading this review then please think twice or maybe multiple times before joining this ridiculous and horrible organization. They will hire you, make use of you and then will try to get rid of you by using constructive and well planned tactics. The leaders expect you to stay late and even work on weekends. There are much better security organizations out there than this horrible European hardware company which ruined a great software company.
