Pros

Good pay above standard. Fantastic clients. Beautiful setting right by the ocean.

Cons

Extremely high turn over rate. In the three years I was there 25 massage therapists, front desk people, managers and other service providers left, were fired or could no longer work because of disability. And it is a very small department ,we maxed out at 22-25 people. This job is really well paying but the incompetence of management and the constant negativity from senior staff kills your motivation. I always gave 110% and even had return clients, however management does not value entrepreneurial therapists who work to bring clients back. They do not honor client requests for specific therapists. The provider staff is expected to be perfect and give exceptional service without any support from the front desk. Even when the front desk makes repeated mistakes this is ignored, but If the provider staff misses a punch on a time clock once in a year, they are written up. No matter how good your client feedback and tips are you will get a bad performance review. Because they do not offer raises they have to justify this budgetary issue by making it the employees fault. I was not an ideal employee and got a bad review deservedly. However, ideal employees also got bad reviews. Instead of making it the employees fault, how about be upfront and let employees know there is a raise freeze. The attitude from management repeated often and loudly is, "if you don't like it here leave, it's not for everyone." You might want to rethink this attitude, as you see a 95% turn over rate is not something to aspire to.

Pros

Wonderful Atmosphere, lots of windows, plants, etc.

Cons

You determine your schedule, but you may only come into work when you have a client. Even though your are on the schedule 40 hours, you may only have the opportunity to work none. there may be weeks without a pay check. It is seasonal, so it may be this way 5 months out of the year.

Pros

Better pay than the industry standard. Free stay with meals once a quarter. Great learning experience. Free employee lunches. Sales incentives.

Cons

Other departments named the call center "The Dungeon" due to its lack of windows, doors, and natural light. Getting promoted requires a threat to quit with another job offer. Grey areas in a lot of ethical situations. Having to take calls non-stop most days. High turnover. Work every weekend and holiday other than Christmas and New Years Day. Cold calling previous guests during down time.
