I have been working at JLT Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flat corporate structure, relaxed working environment where professionals are left alone to manage their clients. Thos who work hard are appreciated and thanked for their dedication

    Cons

There is a lot of nepitism which results in qualified candidates getting overlooked and the pool of talent is all of a very similar ilk. Friends and family of senior members of staff and clients are fast tracked onto the graduate scheme and given opportunities to work in overseas offices whilst the same opportunities are not offered to others. Whilst bonuses are usually satisfactoy, pay rises are painful to negotiate.

    Advice to Management

    Stop the nepitism, it's embarassing.

I worked at JLT Group full-time for more than a year

        Pros

The people are fantastic with good intentions.

        Cons

Salary is a let down, causing good experienced individuals to leave and training for new starts is not consistent enough. Along with workload expectations being constant and overwhelming.

        Advice to Management

Improve on the salary to retain experienced workers who can then support new starts and guide them through the on the job training.

I worked at JLT Group full-time for more than 10 years

        Pros

People that weren't job title proud and were willing to do anything to ensure that as team all jobs were completed in target

        Cons

No financial rewards, people who didn't help others when work was time critical when the work being done was originally theirs in first place. Basically lazy people. The managers or lack of management at time of leaving there was at least 2 teams who had no manager for guidance. And finally but most importantly the hierarchy at the top of the ladder were all about manipulating the stats to impress the client.

        Advice to Management

Learn to Reward your staff on the floor equally and don't have favourites. It puts people off wanting to give that bit extra.

I worked at JLT Group full-time for more than 3 years

        Pros

A lot of good people, generally a okay place to work. SBB is a nice office. Good atmosphere generally.

        Cons

Everybody looks after themselves and if they can pass the buck, they will. Don't look after the staff, really get the feeling that you are just a number.

        Advice to Management

No advice needed, they have sold the company and the only people to benefit are the shareholders, certainly not the staff or clients
