Pros

You meet some good and nice people here, although most of them will quit within 6-months. As another user stated, people outside the firm sometimes think you work at JP Morgan.

Cons

A lot. Management is in it for themselves with no innovation and no direction, other than to maintain the plateau they've leveled on for the past 6 years. Everyone decent in the company has left, leaving 70% of the company to be new-hires (less than 3 months of employment). They enjoy hiring bad people. If you show up to your interview and are somewhat responsive, they'll most likely give you an offer. The coo has done a terrible job with managing employees and focusing on retention. An entire division quit and went to a competitor or Google because of a recent MD hire. Nobody genuinely cares, they are either too busy or will tell you to figure it out on your own, creating 30% more work for you. Long hours (many nights were spent past 1 AM). Bankers create work that has no meaning in order to make their day-to-day easier, while they go have lunches, vacation, etc. Everything at the company is archaic. There is no sense of innovation or implementing software (many of which are clients) into the platform to make work easier or more efficient. What was decided 13 years ago still exists today. HR is never in the office. If you have a problem with a colleague or the firm, I suggest hiring a shrink to discuss since HR won't do a lick. Expecting your paycheck? It either won't be prepared for you on time or HR & Accounting will make up a thousand excuses of why it's late/missing. Employee retention is bad. Within 4 weeks, new hires are noticing the turnover rate and feel the burn. They do nothing to mitigate this. Their solution is to hire more people as fast as possible (which are mediocre candidates, at best). They will always screw you on your bonus number. No matter what. Do not believe this number. They have many excuses including pro-rating your bonus based on the months worked (even though you've been working your tail off for 11 of the 12 months they count), # of deals staffed on (even though you want to provide quality work or there are just not enough hours in the day to complete), etc. etc. They hire bad people and do not do outside diligence . They will keep all the bad employees while burning out the good ones. There are no perks here.

Pros

Some people think you work at JP Morgan

Cons

A group of self serving management who enrich themselves annually for presiding over a never ending decline in share price while declaring that things are about to turn around. Employees only get paid if they threaten to leave and can't be replaced by a junior.
