Pros

Good quality products and employee benefits.

Cons

Micromanagement. They oversold me the role, I spent the majority of my time uploading files. The manager was lacking in social skills. Unable to contact a single HR person in the entire company.

Pros

The lower down the hierarchy you go, the better the people are.

Cons

If you only know one thing about working for Jabra, know this - when I was made redundant, it was my Manager's Manager who told me. By letter. Sent to me at the same time they told my former teammates in a meeting I had been uninvited from (with no explanation) 90 minutes earlier. My manager? They never even said goodbye. My last correspondence with them was an instant message saying "good work" two hours earlier. After that, radio silence. Other colleagues got in touch to wish me well and to express their sadness I was leaving. My line manager seemingly vanished into a black hole. Here is a company that has no idea who it is or what it wants to be. On the one hand you have senior managers pushing one narrative, while their actions suggest another direction was wanted all along. The result is a workforce constantly unsure of what they should be doing, or why. A culture of secrecy and fear of discussion prevails, in which senior leaders scatter requests for work out among the masses, with no thought to how or why they might be fulfilled. Early or mid-project discussions are avoided at all costs. Instead work is expected to be presented in pristine, finished form that meets the unspoken whims of that day.
