      Horrendous bullying blame culture

      Money was OK, some nice people there

      Cons

      Japanese micromanaging blame culture. This creates high turnover of staff through resignations or 'scape goats'. Local management are just 'yes men' for Japan HQ and have no autonomy. They care little for their staff wellbeing. Beware!!!

      Pros

      JAE facilities are great, canteen on site and modern looking offices. Earlier start and finish times helps promote good work/life balance. Offices are shut over Christmas.

      Cons

      Unfortunately there is a real blame culture fed from the top down, no sense of unity across the company, a real “every man for himself” atmosphere. The company is also quite inflexible with its staff, no working from home or time off for appointments. In terms of process they are quite archaic, despite claiming to want to improve and move forward you can only make suggestions within the narrow parameters set by management. Finally there are no real career opportunities here unless your face fits, a relatively high turnover of staff as a result.
