High Talent Churn, Leadership Prioritises Compliance Over Competence
Pros
The section of talented staff are incredibly resilient and supportive of one another as they navigate the heavy workloads together.
Cons
This is easily the worst company I have ever worked for. The treatment of staff is appalling; the company openly ignores its own values and fosters a toxic culture. High performers are left exhausted, burnt out, and without any work-life balance. Meanwhile, a large contingent of incompetent workers favoured by management coast along, adding little value while taking all the credit. You might assume working for a travel company would at least provide benefits in terms of cheap or discounted travel, however that isn't the case. Nobody working for the company can afford the overpriced holidays and flights, even with the poor staff discount provided. I only ever went on one holiday using the employee discount scheme and it wasn't worth what I paid for it. Promotions are based entirely on nepotism or compliance with this toxic environment. HR functions solely as an engine designed to protect toxic management. In fact, managers who caused multiple resignations due to their poor attitudes were actively promoted, while those who genuinely cared for and empowered their teams were punished. The leadership cares only about profit and protecting the culture that drives it, routinely ripping off customers while working their best staff into the ground. The recent high employee churn tells you everything you need to know. Talented employees are not welcome here and will eventually leave, leaving only incompetent 'yes' people to be promoted.
