Pros

Diverse Responsibilities: The role provided opportunities to go beyond traditional creative work, allowing involvement in marketing, merchandising, and site optimization to help drive sales. Luxury Branding Experience: Working on a high-end brand came with valuable experience in positioning and design strategy. Talented Team: Despite management challenges, there were dedicated and skilled individuals on the team who worked hard to achieve business goals.

Cons

Deceptive Bonus Promises: The company falsely claimed employees would be eligible for a 20% bonus if KPIs were met. Even after hitting those goals, management refused to honor the promise and insulted employees for requesting what was earned. Lack of Leadership & Oversight: There was minimal control from upper management, leading to frequent interdepartmental interference and a lack of clear direction. Conflicting Business Strategies: The web manager frequently pushed aggressive discounting on luxury products, undermining the brand’s premium positioning and causing internal conflicts. Toxic Work Culture: The dismissive and condescending attitude from leadership towards employees fostered a demotivating and frustrating work environment.
