Good exposure to a range of Management and Financial accounting and insight into some business operations and administration. Opportunities for training and career progression.
Cons
Unrealistic expectations from management (in terms of workload and timescales) and often, as a team member, feeling disposable. High staff turnover in the finance team, managers are not responsible for their direct report’s salary and are given next to no scope to make positive changes on their, or the team’s, behalf.
