-Lack of consequences for repeat offender students. Did not protect their teachers would stand by students wrong/right.
-Long work days, 7-5 at times or later with meetings during preps or after school 3-4x a week.
-Admin/managers did not handle feedback well or wouldn’t accept feedback unless you were their friend.
-No work/life balance
-Very cliquey, like a charter school cult
-Work was not appreciated and they just added to your workload.
-Pay
-They push amazing educators out that do not meet their agenda or follow the “KIPP standard”
-Did not have general understanding and care about the mental health of their employees.
Overall, admin is extremely tight knit and cliquey. Usually opportunities come to those that have connections not those who actually deserve them. Good teachers are pushed out if they so much as stray from the KIPP standard. Admin is unable to take feedback and honor concerns from staff and adjust to them to create a healthy work environment. Higher ups do not defend educators and always take the kids side and there is no such thing as work/life balance.
