Pros

working from home policy share options knowledgeable support team very good pension scheme enabling salary sacrifice

Cons

<1day notice to jet off to customer site to deliver a workshop on some product you have yet to use. <3days notice to jet off to another hemisphere for a month to develop customer solutions work all night to avoid rolling back a paid upgrade to customer installation, then getting no time in lieu, then when it comes to appraisal time, decision not to roll back used as a negative salary was below par they even managed to taint the share options. whilst a good thing to have , was implemented inconsistently with price rates and allocations fluctuating wildly. Career opportunities almost non existent, and when the do come along the extra work & responsibility not worth the minuscule of salary increase

Pros

Now that the old Global head of Engineering (aka CTO) has left the death march has stopped and the poorly implement product he championed canned its not a bad place to work. Pays well, work is in the main interesting, seems to be going places with a relatively clear vision now and in the main are customer focused

Cons

Had to live through the Death march and the disaster that was SEM; you cant buy SOA in a box and JSON isn't REST! The company has gone through a number of acquisition phases and people in general don't handle change well; which can make progress difficult. The assimilated organisations often blame senior management; but there is an element of self reflection (emotional intelligence) that needs to be applied on a personal level to embrace change and appreciate other ways for doing things Personally it would be nice to work on a project that does not get canned and provides a significant proportion of the customer base with benefit at some stage! Company is growing and with it the the expected politics etc

Pros

Friendly staff and management. Work from home. Nice offices.

Cons

You don't have to do any work, company are happy for you to sit and do nothing all day. You cannot develop your skills in this kind of environment. Everyone around you appears to be doing no work either. Was very clear to me this was not sustainable. Role was advertised as a dev role but there was no development in the small number of tasks you were assigned.
