There is no sympathy for employees or the clients. It's all about money.

Pros

The only pro is that you get a 5 Star Property on your resume for future opportunities. I happy that this company made me realize what I will and will not stand for with other employment opportunities.

Cons

The owner creates a whirlwind of havoc every time she enters the facilities, you never know what you will be getting with her. She will completely belittle you and your team if she feels the sales are not supported even if you have only had one client in that day. The management does not know how to physically keep their hands to themselves. The accounting team is reliable to make a mistake whether is means to underpay the staff or overpay the staff. The Manager of the Four Seasons Beauty Spa takes weekends to himself and will not answer his phone, even if you text him it's an emergency. He will schedule the front desk team to work six days in a row, in order to have every employee work weekends so he doesn't have to work them himself. He goes on vacation at least three times a year while his staff rarely takes any days off due to the lack of coverage. Massage therapists and estheticians will be required to work almost doubles because of the lack of coverage. The spa is constantly falling apart because of the lack luster cheap materials used. It is a shame because truly the product would have potential if the packaging wouldn't flake off onto your skin and never come off because they will not fix the consistent problem. The services could be great if the staff wasn't so miserable all the time. Word to the wise don't work here unless you want to feel your soul ripped out of your body.

pa technicians at L. Raphael Beauty Spa, located in the Four Seasons New York Hotel in New York City, filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court alleging unpaid overtime and tips, and time shaving. Nail technicians, massage therapists, and hair salon workers claim that their rights under the Fair Labor Standard Act (“FLSA”) and New York Labor Law (“NYLL”) were violated for not having been paid at time and a half for their hours worked over 40 in a week. The lawsuit also claims that automatic gratuities charged to customers were never paid to workers and company records reflected inaccurate hours worked. The wage theft lawsuit against L. Raphael Beauty Spa seeks compensation for unpaid wages, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees and costs.

Pros

L-Raphael take the spa to the next level, the best treatment and very good training for the team. The salary is good lots of tip. Most of the team works full time, the company is growing and just open a few more doors.

Cons

L-Raphael is at the four season, but 4 floor down, good ambiance and great management. I wish we have same window, and fresh air, the spa room are beautiful and great condition for the team. My recommendation is great and I love to work for L-Raphael . Never had any problem or tip not payed to me or to the team.
