Great brand and products ruined by culture dictated by Head Office in Switzerland
Pros
Some very talented, passionate and dedicated people in the UK teams in both Retail and Head Office. Lovely products, very effective Nice offices
Cons
Unfortunately global do not work in partnership with the 'metiers', you are very much told what to do. (If you are junior in your career this may be more acceptable.) Highly political, opinions on people vary according to global opinion. Poor leadership, many people are desperate to leave due to the lack of respect shown by senior managers towards the capabilities of their teams, they are being 'managed' not led. Very stressful environment, people are expected to work long hours and weekends, phone calls after 19.00 are the norm, sometimes even later. There is no genuine 'care' for people's health or wellbeing, merely paying lip service every so often. Very flat structure, little interest in developing people unless global has shown an interest in them. Highly bureaucratic for such a small business, no autonomy, you have to get approval for everything from global.
