Pros

The work environment is positive and collaborative, with a strong sense of teamwork across the organization. Overall, it’s a great place to work where people are encouraged to grow and contribute. The culture also emphasizes humility and collaboration. The company values learning, contributing, and working together and to me it’s a great place to EARN a living

Pros

This may help explain some of the negative reviews … it is a very close-knit group here at The Lab … if someone is not a fit, it is typically very apparent to all involved right away that it is not going to be a match (interviews don’t always reflect how someone will function in their role, including how they will work in the office or integrate with the team). Here’s the basics for success: maintain a positive attitude, manage your time effectively and efficiently, be proactive and move your work forward, be polite to your new coworkers (crazy this needs mentioned!), and take a minute to listen & learn the current processes (don’t come in wanting to change everything on the first day/being a ‘know it all’). Yes, it is busy here. But busy is good. If you are looking to coast – this is not the place for you. It’s a COLLECTIVE effort here (again, back to my close-knit group comment before). The people here understand that, take pride in that, and help one another each and every single day. Full-time roles are 8 to 5 (1 hour for lunch). You are NOT expected to work after hours (this is my first job where my employer has NOT been blowing up my cell phone outside of office hours – a very welcome change). When you are off, you are off. There is some travel on the consultant side, but it’s infrequent at best, and depends on the client project. It is a hybrid work schedule for most full-time roles (after your first 30 days) – it’s one week at the office, one week at home. I would say the collective goals here are (in no particular order): 1) evaluate our clients’ needs and help them succeed, 2) grow our overall business, and 3) promote a positive team environment. As far as the ‘micromanagement’ comments – this is a BUSINESS PROCESS STANDARDIZATION company. There will be some form of that due to what has been found to work/what has been successful in the past 30+ years. What I am a huge fan of here: There is no board of directors to appease. There is no C-Suite just to have a C-Suite with fancy job titles. There is no red tape here. You need something, you ask for it, you’ll get it. There are no obstacles to being successful. It honestly just comes down to the individual fit. Those that like it here, stay here, and thrive here. Period.

Cons

Nothing to report con wise.
