Pros

co-workers are very encouraging to eachother

The managers in the advertising department are awful. They don't take suggestion and are degrading and harassing. Worse than middle schoolers

Pros

You will make friends and enjoy your coworkers even though management will tell you to avoid mean girls when you're hired. There are no mean girls. This isnt a Lindsey Lohan movie.

Cons

You will be babysat. Too much micromanagement, too many managers, too many useless things to sell, too many meetings. This company is more desperate for money than a sugar baby.

Bad management. Clueless. Workers are expendable.

Pros

Free parking. Nice downtown setting.

Cons

Most of the managers are just people that have been there a long time. They're either clueless about how to manage people or they actively treat their employess badly. The HR department does nothing. About anything, generally just nothing. The overall feeling is that everyone is expendable. No matter if you've been there a year or 43 years. No matter how well you've done your job. On the other hand as soon as you reach management those rules don't apply. You can be ineffective, mean, anything you like and it's ok, you're management. Direction of the company changes weekly it seems. Newspaper, media company, marketing company, pick a direction and stay with it. Morale, there isn't any. Many people are actively looking for new employment. Management doesn't understand this and thinks everyone is happy.
