Pros

* Networking opportunities * Large, locally recognized company with a mostly positive reputation

Cons

* Low pay * Low employee morale * An owner that spends money on a Tesla and acquiring other companies instead of paying fair wages or giving raises * Very right wing organization that makes it known you shouldn't express an opinion (including a bumper sticker on your personal vehicle), if you disagree * Upper management does not care about their employees, they care about giving themselves raises and the bottom line

Mediocre at best

Pros

Was provided the opportunity to get my foot in the door in the HR industry

Cons

If you are not in senior management the compensation is ridiculously low and the annual increases are a joke. If you must have anything other than employee only medical insurance, the cost is expensive. They are micromanagers.

Pros

The lower level staff are pleasant and loyal to a fault. Their marketing team is highly skilled and should be running the entire company.

Cons

Horrible C-Suite leadership. The mid level managers are constantly worried about their jobs because they are scrutinized incessantly. The CEO does not want to be there (inherited the role from his dad, the original company founder), because he wants to play in his band all day. The leadership team meets regularly to try to figure out how to cut people from the company to meet their personal financial objectives. If you have a serious health issue, they will lump you in with a group of people to lay you off (to get you off their health plan). The pay and benefits are not competitive (especially for an HR PEO!).
