Pros
Great colleagues, benefits, mission driven work, 2 weeks off in December plus 3 week vacation, work from home, very flexible, potential for creativity at work.
Cons
The organization has struggled in recent years to keep up with it's growth. There is a lot of role confusion and duplication of work. Systems have not been set up to help manage basic things like file storage or communications standards. Management is very bad at planning and resource allocation. It seems there is always a new pet project blindsiding development teams. It is very fly by the seat of your pants kind of work. Everyone always seems stressed and overworked. There is a burnout culture at Let's Talk Science. There is also a lot of problems with pay equity between staff of the same role.
