Pros

If you opt in, you get every other Friday off. Considering what the culture and work environment is like, this will be the only thing worth sticking around for.

Cons

Found it weird that all of the leadership team is white while most of the front line staff is not considering the size of the nonprofit. It always felt weird walking in the office and seeing all POC's sitting out in cubicles while non-POC's had the luxury of their own offices. Many of them seem out of touch with the low-income clients they serve. The corporate office culture felt toxic and with the constant turnover, I always felt like I was in danger of losing my job (even though I was not). That type of environment took a toll on my mental health and everyone I know who was let go or willingly quit seems like they are in a much better place. Like another poster said, the ED is erratic and extremely conservative despite working in social services and serving a diverse community. Because of that, you can feel the "white savior mentality" running rampant in the corporate office.

Similarly, 100% of our employees at all levels responding to the survey strongly agreed, or agreed, that the Executive Department, which includes our Executive Director, “responds to their needs on a respectful basis. We regret that you had a negative experience and would be happy to discuss your perception in more detail to better understand what happened in your situation.

Pros

Most of the people are really cool, especially those who work directly with the support staff.

Cons

The Executive Director. She is egotistic and narcissistic. It seems like most of the work is done to bolster her ego than to help people.
