      Sinking ship. There is no future.

      Cons

      More than 50% reduction in workforce on Jul 9th and some were just recently hired. Zero ethics from management. CEO & his clans clueless and still with the company. Investor should wake up and clean out management. Can't even make still image possible and yet company wants to focus on autonomous. Lied to customers that purchased L16 and never delivered complete product. Battery grip was promised for pre-order customers but never even on the product design road-map.

      Building a New Technology and Company

      Pros

      * There are a lot of startups, fewer with hardware, and even fewer developing creating a new technology and product segment! * Leadership and culture here is very transparent, intellectual, and respectful. People genuinely enjoy each other's company and take a lot of pride in overcoming challenges and succeeding together. * For a small startup, Light offers the opportunity to interact with quite a diverse collection of colleagues: Computational Imaging, EE/ME/Optical/Firmware Engineers, ASIC Engineers , Android/Windows/Mac Developers, Manufacturing Operations, and a world-class supply chain and 3rd-parties. * Building new technology, new product, and a new company offers a ton of room for career growth. Leadership embraces the entrepreneurial spirit at all levels. * Very flexible permitting work-from-home as needed and cloud based tools to enable it.

      Cons

      Not a con for everyone, but this is a hot startup. As such, there are many challenges and demands in taking new technology to market while building a company. For those with the right expectation, its extremely rewarding. Otherwise it could be overwhelming.

      New and emergent technology, innovative thinkers, close to CalTrain, snacks in the office, free camera for employees

      Cons

      Workaholics will be happy here but otherwise it is a pressure cooker. Good people disappear without mention which affects morale. Pay below market rate.
