• If transparency is what you're looking for, this isn't the place. All stories of success are short-lived and 'optimised' to sound more appealing to the outside world
• Staff are under-appreciated, underpaid but consistently overworked
• More attention is given to the idea of 'team culture' then the actual consideration for how the team are feeling. Staff wellbeing is nonexistent, which isn't helped by the missing HR presence (when I was there at least)
• I found the attitude and environment to be built on and around the idea of 'banter' which on multiple occasions left me feeling uncomfortable, from both direct and indirect comments. I personally feel that this workplace is not equipped to be inclusive and has failed, out of ignorance, to embrace the diverse world we now live in. Internal comments are sometimes inappropriate and inconsiderate to the varying beliefs of individuals, whether that be to do with politics, sexuality and/or race.
• Lack of clarity, direction and organisation
• There also seems to be an unprofessional approach to when employees depart the company. In my time, those who left weren't given as much as a goodbye and later find out from ex-colleagues that they have been bad-mouthed in the workplace and amongst clients, for no apparent reason.
• A deeply scarring and uncomfortable experience
