Pros

Very diverse team: Members from backgrounds including architecture, teaching, medicine and professional sport, as well as a wide range of ethnicities, languages and ages, bringing valuable and differing perspectives. Strong cohesion across teams: Regular ceremonies (stand-up, all-hands, product, technology, and culture retros) kept everyone aligned with the company mission. Independence in people management: No micromanagement from leadership in day-to-day team management, allowing freedom to coach or mentor in your own style. Upskilling: Plenty of opportunities for cross-team shadowing, skill growth through collaborative projects, and self-development is encouraged using your annual training allowance. Niche product: Limio is well regarded in the industry, making it easy to feel proud of the work delivered and the success achieved.

Cons

Neurodiversity and environment: While visible diversity was strong, there was less focus on supporting neurodiverse ways of working. For example, navigating different preferences in an open-plan office (lighting, music, scents) was challenging. Policies and flexibility: Core hours and working day expectations sometimes caused confusion. The working day of 9am to 6pm was also treated as core hours, which reduced flexibility. The office attendance requirement increased, becoming more rigid, which some employees felt limited the remote-work balance they had previously enjoyed. Meeting culture: Multiple ceremonies across teams could lead to several meetings a day, which sometimes felt repetitive. Non-business-critical feedback raised in retrospectives or other forums did not always result in visible action, even when it could have boosted morale. Processes and leadership style: OKRs were in the early stages of adoption and occasionally felt more like a compliance exercise than a strategic driver. In some customer initiatives, final decisions tended to align with leadership’s preferred approach, which resulted in less opportunity to trial alternative ideas. As a small team with many overlapping responsibilities, shifting priorities made it harder to maintain consistent focus.

Pros

There's always been a lot of room for growth within Limio. The founders are aware that the company needs talent in areas that they can't give 100% to and ownership of key areas to be able to advance the company forward. Readily promote talent Give reigns over to core parts of the code if someone is proactive and and enthusiastic about making changes Great culture, the people are nice and allowed to be themselves, people tend to socialise after work quite regularly Regular socials There's always snacks, coffee etc. Everything you'd expect!

Cons

Probably as a result of being a growing start up, pace can be very high. Leading to issues long term Leadership can sometimes be a blackbox, though this is improved by pretty thorough weekly meetings to give company updates

Pros

I've been working at Limio for over two years and I've had a positive experience thus far. The company culture is one of the strongest aspects of the workplace, as the management team truly cares about the growth and development of their employees. At Limio, there's a genuine focus on personal and professional development. The company offers training opportunities, which have been incredibly beneficial in expanding my knowledge and skills. There's a sense of teamwork and open communication that fosters a great work environment. Overall, I would recommend Limio to anyone looking for a company that values employee development, teamwork, and transparency.
