58% positive business outlook
Pros
Culture, people management, growth opportunities
Cons
No any cons if you looking for good work
Pros
Interesting projects, there is a choice to change the project if the current one does not suit you in some way. There are many good specialists with whom it is great to work and from whom you can always learn something.
Cons
Unfortunately salary is not competitive compared to other companies
Pros
- You can actively grow within the company; - The company employs strong specialists with whom it is pleasant to interact; - Opportunity to develop in an interesting direction of development; - Training in courses paid by the company; - HR support (1:1); - Interesting corporate events
Cons
- The company is focused on business, not people; - Salary below the market average; - There is no common understanding in the IDP of employees in different units; - Non-optimally built processes: no structure and transparency; - Many key employees leave the company; - The company is focused on hiring new people rather than retaining employees
Pros
- open minded people - you can reach anyone (even CEO is available if needed) - good salary - interesting projects - company really cares about you
Cons
Relocation of the company to Georgia made it difficult to keep existing culture, so it will take time to rebuild the company to "best place to work" again, but I'm sure they'll succeed.
Pros
Makes an effort to create a positive, principled and friendly work environment. Many good people at this company. Probably a better career opportunity for programmers and perhaps better for those in the Russia office.
Cons
Many bad communicators in leadership positions leaning towards stunted and aggressive communication. Inconsistent messages from different leaders and departments. Lack of effective and mature communication when the going gets tough. Uses HR as a tool rather than as a check and balance. Overly conventional and logical under pressure. Performance review process shows lack of understanding how to work with people, how to discern top priorities and how to determine what is actually relevant and why.
Pros
Overall culture is very good. Despite the things mentioned below, I like working in the company very much, especially this year, when its structure became more streamlined from responsibility & authority point of view. Processes and decision making become much more effective. Unit Directors, department heads and executives are great people -- very smart and pleasant to work with. Engineers are just best -- company does its best to retain best people in the industry, though now it's very difficult.
Cons
Biggest con is weak connection with US office, where we have presales and customer relations related people. Often they misinterpret plan made by RU development team and agree wrong things with a customer. It is not a very big problem, when we can just loose money because of that. But it much worse when we can not physically fit into the agreed terms, so demotivate our people and loose customer's trust. Another problem is that CEO, who is overall a good person, and me personally taught a lot from him, sometimes quickly jumps to conclusions and decisions, instead of asking a few clarifying questions. And then just stays on his position no matter what. It creates feeling of not-being-heard and stubborn management in people who directly communicates to him.
Pros
I've come to Lineate because I found very smart people working here, who always listen about problems you see, accept your vision and do their best to make the company great. You can always come to your boss or your collegues and be heard and get constructuve, logical arguments on the topic discussed. Company has very interesting projects as outsourcing company. And have very good progress on moving to their own product sales. Usually, outsourcing companies have good established processes, and product companies have good marketing and spiritual things in them. And it's exciting to see that Lineate try to keep both good processes and get benefits of product company at the same time. Employees have competitive revenue, good work environment and many social benefits, including high training budget on best trainings company can find.
Cons
Company was fast growing recent years. And also try to develop their own ambitious product basing on their previous expertise. And the transformation requires much mentality changes and getting new kind of expertise. So, the changes not always go smoothly, and it's hard for a few people to adopt to the changes. Marketing and sales is in NY. Engineering is in Omsk. Sometimes it's difficult to communicate and align their efforts.
Pros
good culture kind people understanding managment
Cons
outsorcing company cons that exist in every company
