I have been working at Lionbridge full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Competitive Salaries Development for Employees Contracts with Reputable companies Excellent Infrastructure in place currently

    Cons

When employed through Lionbridge you are normally contracted to another company.

    Advice to Management

I personally felt as if I had nowhere to go with any issues I had due to working on site as a contractor, you don't have the resources you normally would have, and sometimes don't know where to go to get those resources, so try and provide as much support as possible if your employees are on site as it is quite easy to feel very alone and uninformed and out of your depth when contacted out to a site.

I have been working at Lionbridge part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Once you read and understand the guidelines, the job is quite straightforward. There is available assistance, including webinars and direct contact if you have a problem or need support. Can work at any time of day.

    Cons

It can take up to two months to get paid. Can get tedious. You need to know the right days to complete the tasks, which can be difficult. Sometimes tasks do not appear until mid-week and are quickly resolved.

I worked at Lionbridge full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working within Rolls-Royce, a great company

    Cons

You are not part of rolls Royce and often looked down on. Forget everything in the job description, you are simply a dogs body who can use excel. Also not a safe job, rolls Royce are actively trying to automate your job. There were promises of moving across to rolls, but if you look at your contract this is very difficult.

    Advice to Management

    Don't lie in the interview.

I worked at Lionbridge full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible hours and free tea and coffee

    Cons

Poor conduct, immature jokes and teasing, condescending behaviour, bullying and victimisation

    Advice to Management

If a person is the target of inappropriate behaviour or patronised on a regular basis, overtime that person will feel demoralised and highly stressed, Consequently, developing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and lack of confidence. This will eventually lead to ill health, poor productivity and people leaving the organisation. When you think about it, this type of negative behaviour doesn't serve a purpose and... shouldn't be tolerated. I think senior management at director level need to address this office culture.
