Pros

More relaxed culture. Pay is good as we over charge members/clients for what we do.

Cons

The company has a hired too many people – culture of everyone not knowing what to do. To get new and good ideas we interview candidates to steal their ideas. Deadlines can be too tight due to poor management. Lack of career progression. Large hierarchy.

Thank you for taking the time to review the company, and we're sorry to hear that your experience was not as great as we'd like it to be. We appreciate anonymity is important but are you able to tell us which part of the business you worked for? Were you with investment management or pension administration?

Money over people & diversity

Pros

Flexible working. Central location. Some really good people who try to make a difference.

Cons

They do not reward loyalty unless you are one of the faces they like. If you rock the boat or ask questions then you are seen as a trouble maker. People are overlooked, diversity is on the back burner for the sake of money making and results. It's very much a company that places a significant amount of value on people if they come from a certain (university educated) background. Diversity is seen as a tick boxing exercise and any push towards real diversity championing is shot down or placated with niceties that make no real difference to the company.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We genuinely value all feedback, concerns and suggestions from our employees, and to your point, we are trying to listen more. In fact, we conduct comprehensive listening surveys three to four times a year, through an independent provider that provides anonymity, where employees can score many aspects of the business, how we work together and how they feel about their role. We encourage employees to provide as much commentary as possible in this survey so that we understand any issues and address them quickly. We are surprised by the diversity issues you raised. Diversity, equity and inclusion are so important to creating a respectful, safe and enjoyable working environment - and receive significant board and executive attention. The business has an agreed set of priorities which are being actively progressed. In our most recent employee survey conducted in September, it was pleasing to see LPPI achieve the highest score on the diversity and inclusion questions we have seen to date. We know we can improve this even further can do better, though, and are about to launch a programme of manager and employee toolkits to help all of us improve our equity, diversity and inclusion knowledge alongside our learning and performance responsibilities. Colleagues have also relaunched our internal Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Network to proactively support our people and the business in these efforts. Working together and doing the right thing are two of our core values. Diversifying our team is important and rewarding work. We are proud of our partnership with 10,000 Interns Foundation for the fourth consecutive year, and our one-year placement programme for university students. We plan to expand our internship and graduate programmes further as we grow. Turning to inclusion, our biannual employee recognition awards have highlighted the amazing work of the individuals and teams who might fly under the radar at times. Colleagues nominating the colleagues they work with, for the time and help they give us, has been an enlightening experience for everyone and a cause for celebration. Overall, we believe that LPPI offers a great employment opportunity through the combination of our compelling purpose, job autonomy, flexible working, competitive compensation and a strong employee benefits programme.
