Toxic CEO and Founders. Very Harmful Culture

Pros

Good benefits and pay is OK. Stayed there almost 3 years because of the people, but ultimately left for a management role since Localyze doesn't support career growth.

Cons

The CEO has created an incredibly toxic environment, consistently and shamelessly displaying unprofessional (and frankly, mean) behaviour. CEO lacks essential (and basic) leadership skills, resorting to intimidation rather than inspiring or guiding the team Psychological safety is nonexistent - speaking up leads to retaliation or further mistreatment. Again - all driven by CEO who gets involved in everything CEO frequently undermines, dismisses, and belittles employees - which is why everyone is now leaving!

Great place to work, but lacking transparency

Pros

The company is at a great stage to be able to make a visible impact - with a good team ethos in theory. There are a lot of high performers, so it is a good environment for not only self-development, but to influence the development of others. The product is good - and the company is nearly there with living its values.

Cons

Lacking transparency, a lot of things are done on a whim, leadership redirect questions and workloads are really high. A lot of younger employees, which results in a lot of managing up. There is also quite a flat structure and at times feels like management is there to upgrade their own careers, rather than fully invested in the organisation.
