I will try to keep these to a minimum, but I could write an essay about the cons. There are zero additional benefits, you just get a salary that is extremely low related to the rest of the market. You get no insurance, no discounts, minimum number of days of annual leave, you will be instructed when to use your annual leave and when they will allow you to go on holidays, you will have no remore work, the offices are depressing and old, there are no team building activities, the once-a-year party (xmas) is extremely old-fashioned, there are no raises (or laughable raises sometimes), there are rarely any promotions, you will get ridiculous contracts asking for 3 or 6 months notice + non-competes, you will have crazy retention clauses where you will have to pay back ~8-10% of your salary if you leave before completing 5 years (because they label that part of your salary as retention bonus), you will get no recognition whether you work hard or not at all, you will get oblivious management that work harder on picking the correct hair-gel rather than important matters and will lie to you at the interview and make false promises, you will never have a place to park, and so much more.
