The CEO, Pershant (Sean) Mehta, nurtures a toxic work environment based in fear and verbal harassment, that goes unchecked. There is no HR department; the people who performed the HR duties when I worked there were someone in the finance department and the makeup artist. Neither was qualified, and the makeup artist thought it was funny to slap people on the butt or breast.
Management is too terrified of losing their jobs to speak up for, defend or protect their teams. I once posted something to social media that my manager had approved. The CEO didn't like the post, and proceeded to pull me in front of the entire graphics and marketing team and berate me for 15 min while my manager hid in his office and my supervisor cowered in the corner.
I was bullied relentlessly for months by a coworker, who divulged personal information (that I'd shared in confidence) to the entire team. I was incredibly upset, uneasy and overly stressed at work since she shared all of that information, and my supervisor told me that those reactions were the reason I wouldn't get the promotion or raise I was promised.
I repeatedly reported my bully to my supervisor and my manager, kept detailed logs of her harassing statements and actions, and forwarded all such emails to my supervisor and manager. Nothing ever happened. They requested all of the files and emails I'd kept, as well as a personal testimony, just to cover their own interests when she filed a lawsuit after being fired.
