Pros

Just one - Travel to US in business class. < Writing an additional line only because there is a 20 word minimum limit imposed on the pros section , there are no other pros>

Cons

1. Nanomanagement - yes, you read that right. My aim with my manager was to 'upgrade' to micromanagement. I was once asked to log half a day leave when I left the office at 6 PM 2. People are more interested in screwing others over than doing real work. I felt like every workday could be a Game of Thrones/House of cards episode. 3. Even if a senior does not know your product or technology, he/she could be your "lead" just because they have more years of experience. When that is coupled with insecurity of the said senior, the work environment becomes hostile. 4. You are hired under the premise that you will do "development". But all that you'd really be doing is resolving tickets. In all fairness though, the management there thinks that resolving tickets is the same as "development".

Pros

- Payouts (if this is THE important thing for you) - Facilities (Cab, Food, Decent Infrastructure, Hygiene Workplace) - Work & Learning (living in stone age, will upgrade themselves very soon)

Cons

This company has a lot to do in the future. They are yet to build what many companies have already done and dusted. Which includes an online shopping platform, scalable product and most important CULTURE (least priority for the company). As a company, they believe a lot in helicopter landing (bringing people from outside and not believing existing folks).

Pros

Good compensation, free travel and lunch. Very good office infrastructure and ambience. Hygiene Occasional Gifts.

Cons

Worked hard for last three and half years and everything was great when it started. I was happy to see team grow from 5 members to 25 members. One and half years back new MICRO manager, joined in US and screwed up everything. He brought in bunch of useless people in to team who doesn't know a bit about process, complexity of the use cases. You want to witness white collar slavery? Join this team. People around you will make sure you are unfit and make you believe that you are worthless slave. No ethics is followed in the team. No encouragement or no appreciation/recognition for the work you have done. US leads who are hired by Micro Manager are completely useless. They talk, they talk and they talk, but will not work. They will pinpoint developers for the mistakes and will never listen to your opinions/inputs. They will make sure you work like slave and they will take all credits from it. Many of the Android leads in US, doesn't even know to code android.LOL. I also have witnessed discussion that happened few months back. A highly talented, eligible guy who was about to get promoted, just because he sent a single line message by mistake in communication tool, for which, they wanted to stop his promotion process. So whatever the hard work developer has put in, doesn't matter. With this incident wanted to let you all know about the culture in the team. Architect and US Manager are not at all approachable. And that Bossy behaviour and that 'I know everything. Who are you to tell me? you are just a software engineer. I am paying for you. Do the job' attitude will irritate you to the core. If they feel you are unfit for the job be aware that there is a firing policy where they make people go out silently. There is no onsite opportunity in mobile team, if you are looking for one and coming here, I am sorry. HR department will hear all your complaints and will not do anything. So you know what I mean. Huh... What I can say about architect? A total waste fellow. If you ask him questions he will chase you until you beg his pardon for asking questions. Every tech team wants to code which will sustain in future, but our architect lis still live in 2013, and suggests all outdated tools and architecture. Also uses all buzzing words, but when it comes to practicality, he will not even create a POC and share with the team. A Highly incapable guy. Uses very rude language, always makes you feel cheap whenever you talk to him. Despite all this, I also agree we have have worked on some cutting edge techs and tools since we had a very good guy during our initial days. The dev and QA team is highly capable team and has best talent. The director of mobile team in bangalore is open minded, approachable, supportive and a very good human being . But all above concerns and situations have put them in a hard time.
