Pros

If you're young the wages are good.

Cons

This is a company of roughly 300 people, despite this small workforce I have never worked somewhere that cares so little of its staff. You will get no benefits, parking is not guaranteed, promotions rarely happen as the company is outsourcing it's work, you're mental well-being does not exist to higher management. You will not even get tea or coffee. If you work in certain departments you will be expected to take calls regarding horrific motorbike accidents, sometimes resulting in deaths with basically no training on how to handle these. You have 15 seconds until you take your next call. I wish I were exaggerating but I'm not, this company will not care about you.

Pros

The Marketing & Product team and the Head of that department

Cons

I worked at MCE for 6 years, my view on the company isn’t a particularly fond one. As much as MCE boasts their gender pay gap, the whole 5 years I worked in the marketing department I was paid less than every other person on the team (all men), regardless of passing a management course, an exam (which promised a wage increase) and longer service than my other colleagues. I was promised a promotion at one point as a bargaining tool to get me to work abroad when I originally refused – the promotion never came. The company like to keep secrets and there is very much a ‘’Them vs You atmosphere.’’ On top of that they don’t pay over-time but expect you to work extra hours, when working abroad I worked ridiculous hours that were definitely breaking employment laws. All in all, I’m much happier in my new position and have luckily gained some faith in privately owned companies again but, Its disappointing how much effort and hard work you can put into a job, just to be made to feel like everyone is replaceable and you have 0 importance.

Pros

None whatsoever. The place is a living hell.

Cons

Toxic management and toxic culture. Pervy marketing strategies. Sales advisors are encouraged to extort customers for way more than they need to pay for lousy commission. They will do anything they can to NOT pay the customer. Rediculously strict over the top rules for employees.
