Pros

-Co-workers and supervisors were all phenomenal. Nice to be around, helpful when needed, and the environment was extremely collaborative when accomplishing various tasks. Everyone with whom I worked with was easily approachable, hard-working, and all were open to fill in any gaps in knowledge about specific processes or products. Great team. -Work was meaningful - indirectly the work here helps random kids get childcare, so helping agencies or parents get closer to providing/receiving subsidized care was fulfilling. -Snacks, company lunches, and outings were all comped. Management was open to requests for various snacks. -Interface with a lot of different technologies; company is great for newer employees in the technology/IT field to get used to a professional work environment, and solid for anyone mid-career to learn new things. -Always something to do, whether it's testing a new product, answering tickets, or updating/creating KB articles. Very easy to gain experience with numerous technologies here.

Cons

-Documentation could be better. It's daunting at first seeing the various products and all of the small features within each one, and while training was provided to learn about all the resources, products, and essential tasks, I wished a lot of this was documented better in the internal KB. Caveat to this is that supervisors were always open to answer questions, and from my personal experience a lack of good documentation isn't unique to this company. But the resources available, for both customers and the employee internally, could be better for productivity and to help ease newer workers in a lot better. -Overwork - being busy is good, but there were days where I felt overwhelmed with the number of tasks there was to complete, whether it be tickets, projects, calls, or trainings. Working OT/on weekends was also fairly common (and of course paid for). While I truly don't think this is as much of an issue anymore as prospective employees were being looked at, I'd hope that it doesn't go back to where there's a few people doing a lot. -Structure can be improved. There was a lot going on during my time here, and people were commonly reassigned to a new product or project. Ensuring that employees here specialize in one area before being moved and staggering the amount of projects/requests from agencies would go a long way. -Industry is very niche, with the company being at the mercy of ever-changing regulations brought on by the State. To truly specialize in this role would require an intense amount of knowledge about the different laws and requirements tied in with subsidized child care, and that wouldn't translate to other technical positions.
