Where do I even begin. Toxic work environment created by those at the top which is overlooked by everyone strictly because of their title. Be prepared for a cliquey environment where you are extremely micromanaged. Lots of the toxic individuals have children more importantly daughters and I hope they are never put through what they have put some of the amazing women who have worked or are working for them. Karma is real though. Gossiping about everyone is super common in the older women and well as the men in finance (yes the men are just as bad or even worse). Even though there is no room to grow the women who have been working here 5+ years are not happy to see any women doing well/succeed and will tear them down any step of the way. Where women should be standing together they are standing apart at Mainroad. These toxic individuals have long past highschool so it is quite strange that their mentality is still in that state. I have talked to many people personally who are not happy and looking for other place of employment. People in positions of power do not qualify for their positions such as being a Manager because they have no people skills and again are toxic individuals. (Accountants make terrible managers). A certain manager even had her team quit on her and she was sent to anger management. God knows what else goes on. Heavy favouritism (just kiss lots of you know what). I am trying to keep this review professional but its proven quite hard with everything that went on at Mainroad. As a women the only way you can succeed at Mainroad is by allowing yourself to be treated poorly and again kiss LOTS of you know what! I enjoyed the work I was doing ,but it is never worth staying somewhere where you are not happy. I say this once and I will say it 100x over NO JOB IS WORTH YOUR MENTAL HEALTH.
