Pros

- There were some awesome people on the team, but it wasn't enough to keep the ship afloat - Large office space - Free beer to drown your sorrows

Cons

Don't believe the fake reviews boasting about snacks or mentioning the office temperature as the only con - this place is a complete circus and trust me, the idea that snacks would be a pro at this point is completely laughable (and really?? office temperature??? That's delusional). This place is run by the CEO without any guardrails to keep him in line, and anyone who tried to steer things in the right direction have all been fired due to "misalignment of vision". Meanwhile, the main email marketing platform is duct taped together, and hasn't seen any enhancements in over 2 years since the "company vision" has been focused on shiny new areas to expand into (read: Commerce Cloud). As a result, the platform is shockingly bad, and is currently relying on the brand new product team to salvage everything. In the meantime, the CS team has the thankless task of trying to pick up the pieces and bridge a crappy platform with basic client expectations. Unfortunately, the CEO also doesn't believe in paying industry standards or employee wellbeing, both of which he boasted about in a podcast himself. He recently scrapped the option to work from home since it's "against company values", but funnily enough has probably been in the office a total of 3 times in the past 2.5 years. This doesn't stop him from making arbitrary decisions from afar though. As a result, the CS team has been hemorrhaging, and there's barely anyone left to handle client accounts. I agree with the other reviewer that this could have been a great thing, but unfortunately a great team wasn't enough to keep the CEO from running this place into the ground.

Going to write some truth here so people are aware of the type of company we never want to be:Fastest growing and most profitable dumpster fire? Send me some popcorn as well please!I'll take that over complaints about a non-existent work from home policy that individuals made up for themselves, also if you ever create your own business you will realize that one of the benefits is that you can choose to work from where you please especially after 10 years and 24/7/365 workdays. Something I certainly won't apologize for.Furthermore if you had any sense you would know that the path we were going on would be similar to the many Toronto companies who raised in some cases many rounds of funding and are now laying off 50-60-80\% of their staff or simply closing;Sorry but our business model is not of acting like its a free for all at Maropost but one where we are focused on providing value for our customers, our team and the organization as a whole for the long term, functioning as a basic support team that just works from home when they aren't busy complaining isn't part of that philosophy. On the plus side this 2nd round of growth which we will certainly see momentarily and me coming off of being burnt out after 8 years (so sorry to let you down) will yield the result and rewards for the team of supportive individuals who understand their roles in that plan and leadership their contributions, I will continue to tip my hat to those individuals every day of my life. With that being said I find these posts to be nothing short of depressing as while we slowly add to the group of individuals that are the backbone of Maropost there will always be those bitter and angry that they were not able to be successful here despite the clear ability to do so... when there is an inevitable downturn complaining your way to a salary will highlight this.As a note on behalf of the team: Just because you and some of your past colleagues are unhappy with your experience doesn't mean the rest of the 150+ people at Maropost are, diminishing their views as fake because you are bitter is indicative of your professionalism.- Ross

Pros

There are a handful, under 6-7 at this point, employees that are truly great, smart, driven folks. While there's no doubt they are all looking for new careers, working with them would be a pleasure.

Cons

-Zero business acumen -Zero experience running a business -Zero interest in learning how to run a successful business, learn from others, or lean on experienced leaders to help guide them on their journey -have cycled through at least half a dozen senior leadership (1-3 at a time, there's never been a fully staffed SLT in place from what I can gather) in the last 2 years. This is shameful. -Scam clients -Moving sales to USA as they cannot hire here due to their reputation (they will fight you until the end for your well deserved commission $$) -No HR, due to their inability to hire anyone for the role because of the mass amount of issues they face, and will continue to face; this is a critical role in any growing organization (which they continue to falsely claim) -under pay very hard working individuals, not only in NA, but in India where they continue to develop their product, and continue to treat those employees horrendously

Pros

I felt compelled to write in to specifically say that:

Cons

I am appalled by the outright falsity of the previous review, titled "Awesome times ahead...". No one calls the "Customer Success" department "Client Success". Furthermore, no one in the department has worked for the company more than 8 months - let alone "more than 5 years" in a startup less than 5 years old. You'll notice that this review was submitted on Feb 10, 2018: 3 days after two thirds of our sales team were unceremoniously let go. The morale of our office has certainly never felt like "awesome times are ahead", and no one who actually works here would say we're in a "relaxed atmosphere". Compare this fake review to another previous fake review: "Exciting future ahead for the fastest growing company" (29 Sep, 2017). Tell me that they're not regurgitations written by the same person. I can guarantee you no one in this world has ever felt nor uttered the words: "CEO is a visionary – feel extremely fortunate to have worked for him" lolz. One last thing - absolutely no one likes the tacky fake trees. And we don't have monthly socials - they've been axed, haven't you heard? it's your own company. ***Please don't apply here. If the company is lying to you before you're even hired, that's the biggest red flag. RUN AWAY NOW. I was lied to. Everyone was lied to. Company is not profitable if customers leave and no one pays us. THE TURNOVER IS REAL.

It is disappointing to see someone criticizing and discrediting someone else perspective and the experience they have had. We are very proud that we have received many 5 star reviews from our employees who enjoy being part of our team. I'm sorry your experience is not what you wanted. Our CEO has created a fantastic product and had seen great success and many people have had the opportunity to learn from him. We have improved our social plans so we get have more variety in the types of activities in addition to our regular monthly socials, so I believe you may have been misinformed. Maropost is highly profitable and our numbers clearly contradict your claims of lack of profitability or success.
