Pros

I'm only speaking of the IT Dept MGTI based in Milton Keynes : This is a really huge company, that DOES have a large number of vacancies, and at times has some really great things to offer any employee. To gain extremely recognizable Corporate experience... this is a good place to be.

Cons

I'm only speaking of the IT Dept MGTI based in Milton Keynes : The environment is fear based. It's very questioning and demanding of answers when things go wrong, with very little being learned from this. A large number of workplace decisions are based on perception. Rarely do people ask questions about that perception, to make sure, there is actual fact. But, this isn't even something that's hidden... Some managers seem proud of this. Frequently in my early days I was told by my management team "perception is everything"... There is a significant case of "old boys club" going on here. You can not be fantastic at the real meat and gravy of your role, so long as you remember two things... The rule about perception, and being on great terms with certain members of management.

Pros

Travel (if very lucky) Holiday is better than average (26 days + bank holidays)

Cons

They recruit younger staff on higher salaries however there is zero progression. If you want to relocate you are expected to stay on the same salaries. Obnoxious management, people are obliged to stay there past 5.30pm, extremely poor communication, top to bottom approach, things only improved since the acquisition of JLT (they honored JLT's benefits but they'll be gone next year), men's culture, the MD is unprofessional and gossipy, no work life balance, £450 pay rise after three years as each year they would say that there's no money in the pot (and then after no bonuses and budgets) would release a statement about what a great financial year they've had.

Pros

Pros to this company is the high pay and benefits, that's it!!

Cons

Cons to this is also the high pay and benefits as the company know they pay more so this keeps their staff. But all staff at Milton Keynes MGTI department complain about working for the company as it is very 'clicky'. If you aren't management, you don't get involved in the breakfast run. It's just Service Desk analysts treated like this. You are promised promotion, good luck! They seem to like to hire externally instead of promote internally. Another point, STUFF rolls downhill at this company. So be prepared. When ever you try to raise an issue with your TL, they pussyfoot around higher management. There is no communication from MGTI staff and higher management. Which is why nothing is fixed! Another thing, you have to fight to be recognised, even then, again good luck.
