Pros

Work from home. Good people in Ops.

Cons

I regret to share a disappointing experience with a company that has demonstrated a concerning lack of regard for both its employees and clients. My time with this organization revealed a pervasive disregard for employee well-being, evident in inadequate support systems, a lack of transparency, and minimal effort to foster a positive work environment. Employee concerns were consistently dismissed, and there was a noticeable absence of initiatives aimed at professional development, meeting clients objectives, with many broken promises regarding shares in the company and reduction of base salary across the board. This negligence extended to the treatment of clients, as evidenced by a pattern of poor communication, unmet expectations, and a general indifference to client satisfaction. The company's apparent prioritization of short-term gains over long-term relationships has resulted in a toxic atmosphere that impacts both internal and external stakeholders. It is sad to witness a business neglect the very people who contribute to its success with hiring and dismissing employees in short periods, and I would caution both potential employees and clients to carefully consider their engagement with such an organization.

Pros

the space is interesting and evolving within wealthtech, the big players in the space while they dominate have vulnerabilities to be capitalized on, and the markets served are waking up to the needs of fundamental technology

Cons

where to begin, top down issues from leadership that ignore the advice of the people who have held positions before and have a demonstrated track record in past roles on how to execute and improve process and function. the firm is layered with friends/family with woefully underqualified people for the senior titles they hold. a level of confidence is good, but it far more leans to arrogance and incompetence which permeates the various functions of the business. transparency does not exist in the slightest of sense, and the way certain functions/departments are structured and rolled into each other creates conflict and incredibly poor communication. the tech has some benefit but there are massive gaps especially in satisfying certain compliance/audit needs of the more regulated regions, or firms that require specific reporting practices. founders cannot be challenged, and often ignored sound advice for their own ego/vision which they're not equipped to execute on from a commercial and product development standpoint.
