      Everyone seemed so nice at first . . . but oh my gosh - how things changed!!!

      Pros

      Great benefits, and in general a focus on taking good care of their residents.

      Cons

      Behind the scenes, this is not a very good place to work. Senior management is primarily made up of arrogant workaholics with no family life who micro-manage every aspect of the organization. HIgh turnover rate.

      Pros

      There are truly no pros to working here. The environment is racist and toxic.

      Cons

      - Their Community Initiatives leadership team consists only of white people. Mather is trying to be equitable and reach BIPOC but is still choosing to center white neighborhoods and clientele. The Director of Community Initiatives has not real community arts and wellness education or experience. - At their elder care facilities the environment between staff and clients is plantation like. I seriously felt like I time traveled to the 1860's - HR is not responsive and incredibly disorganized - Their overall staff barely has any people of color in leadership or otherwise - Continually changed expectations and promises made throughout hiring process - There is retaliation against staff when racism is brought up in the workplace. Don't work here.

      Pros

      The work culture is what drew me in during my interview and kept me happy for the years I worked there. The people are friendly and generally treat their coworkers respectfully. It is an upbeat atmosphere and this really affects your day to day happiness as an employee. They offer good benefits and are flexible with time off. There is also room for advancement. I saw many colleagues be promoted multiple times and end up in entirely different areas from where they had started.

      Cons

      High staff turnover, which undermines stability and confidence in management. There were occasional rumors about the behind-the-scenes politics, but as a regular staff member it is hard to say how much truth there was to these rumors.
