Pros

Work from Home Great Management Great teammates

Cons

Low pay for salary folk we typically have to work 12 hours a day to meet deadlines and keep our clients happy. Company does not provided personal cell phone allowance for using for work. Does not provided extra monitors and or any reimbursement for supplies used to do your job, such as extra monitors. Who uses 1 these days no one!!! No reimbursement for your internet which you have to pay for the highest plan to accommodate our work platform. Company gives bonuses that equal Pennie’s and rave about their financial returns.

You'd Do Better Digging Ditches

Pros

Relaxed dress code. I couldn't even come up with enough Pro's to fill the minimum word requirement.

Cons

Where do I begin? I'll start off saying I wasn't fired. I left on my own after well over a year - and that was way too long but I was holding out that it would get better, but never did. Sr. Management is horrible. They read an article and try to implement it without any technical feedback then blame everyone else for it not working. Throwing people under the bus is commonplace. Old implementation technologies - it may be Java but it's not implemented well at all. Very rigid platforms. Unable to change anything for the better. Management and Sr. Management are the worst I've ever seen. There's been a mass-exit of employees there. All of them say that it's just toxic there. I've never seen a worse environment. Management trying to be technical then blaming developers and engineers when it fails. Your ideas are not welcome and will not be considered so don't even try. The stress is unbearable and the CIO constantly threatens firings if things don't go right (but of course he blames it on the CEO). Just do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place. Live's too short.

Pros

Flexible work/life balance. The platform itself is solid.

Cons

The R&D leadership is horrible. They send out surveys then do the opposite. They do not hold directors and managers accountable. The HR department is a joke. Retaliation and criticism should be expected if you escalate an issue. Impossible to get questions answered. Curious to know if they actually call references when hiring managers. The last half dozen have been worthless. If you are a woman, don’t expect any career advancement potential. Good ‘ole boys club.

Thank you for your feedback. We take these comments very seriously as we continue to strive for ways to improve. I’m sorry to hear that your impression of R&D leadership and HR was not positive. As an organization that delivers an outstanding product that enables our customers to be successful, we have a deep appreciation of the important role that every function plays in the success of the company. Our company follows standard guidelines when extending offers to candidates which would include background checks etc. Our leadership team as a whole, works hard to recognize and value all contributions from all of our employees, regardless of their gender, ethnicity etc. In fact, we meet regularly with people from every department and use the feedback gathered to refine our strategy, develop our business plans and set priorities. The eNPS surveys also assist with this process. Furthermore, we also strive to maintain and grow our company culture that made MatrixCare a great place to work and continue to drive our focus on a warm and welcoming environment. MatrixCare appreciates employees bringing concerns to leadership and/or HR’s attention and has several options for reporting issues in the workplace with no retaliation. If you would be willing to reach out to Marilyn Provine, Director, HR directly at (952) 995-9777, she could discuss your concerns listed and gather more information, so we may be able to address them.
