Pros

MediQuant is located in suburbs, so it's an easy commute. They offer good health benefits, allow for flex time, and one work from home day a week.

Cons

Growing pains have been around a long time and fatigue is high. Also exec team is not focused on retention or reality. HR leader is awful, likes to red pen everything rather than listening or providing flexibility. It puts middle management in a bad place.

Several colleagues are quite smart.

Cons

While most employees are quite smart, the management does not listen/care for their views. There are other companies with better prospects. I am unsure about the company's financial future. Technology stack isn't exciting

Respect Only Goes One Way

Pros

HR is wonderful to work with, the overall company culture is nice, and being able to work remotely is a plus.

Cons

The company advertises a culture of respect, but the respect on my team was a one-way street. SDETs and QAs are expected to the give the utmost respect to the QA Lead, but cannot expect the same in return. Any suggestions result in getting talked down to or condescendingly laughed at. Any constructive conversations are ultimately shut down by the QA Lead flaunting his years of experience without providing any valuable input. The only good learning opportunity is witnessing the disconnect between experience and competency firsthand.
