An unfortunate situation.

Pros

I never had a paycheck bounce. Some of the employees you may work with are great, hard working people.

Cons

MeetingOne is a small family owned “lifestyle business” meaning the business only exists to support the lifestyle of the owner and her family. The CEO has no idea what she is doing and it is my knowledge her father founded the company and handed it to her to run. I should have known there was an issue when the family members had financial meetings without the CFO present. Departments are pitted against each other and favoritism runs rampant. MeetingOne was by far the most unprofessional and unethical environment I have ever worked in. Micromanagement from the top down is something out of a prison movie not a sales organization. There is zero room for growth and as a sales person you will have your wings clipped and be chained to a desk while your every move is watched and scrutinized- keep in mind you will have no real training so please prepare yourself for this. Overall it’s a very “highschool” atmosphere and it starts with the CEO and the Managers. Quite Frankly it’s sad because there is some potential there if they would adapt and show some desire to grow.

Pros

MeetingOne is a global company with a small amount of employees. It is exciting to be able to have a more personal touch on a global scale.

Cons

It is also too small of a shop, meaning gossip and personal agendas have overpowered reasonable and ethical business practices. There is also a lack of vision. Their product piggybacks on other core software (this is public information) and may not provide the best end user experience due to lack of core development capability. The Engineers and Support staff are expected to wear many hats as if this is a startup company, but it is not. It is simply mismanaged and possibly underfunded.

Pros

They occasionally buy pizza & donuts for the employees.

Cons

Micromanagement from the top down. Certain employees are permitted to behave very badly. They steal clients, lie about other employees that they don't like to management to get them in trouble or fired, while they do little work of their own. Only the sales department ever gets any recognition. Apparently management thinks that all the other work in the company happens by magic. They go on sites and put positive reviews about the company. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM, IT IS A TERRIBLE PLACE TO WORK!
