If you respect yourself, don't work here

Pros

I've tried to think of some, and the only thing I can come up with is there are some great people that work for this company. It's not Management.

Cons

- Lack of true leadership. Executive Management rules with iron fist and indimidation (this is due to their own insecurities and is apparent). Time to start fresh, or face the music of company decline. - Bullying, bullying, bullying.. And it stems from the top down.. - False promises and outright lies by Management. Do not expect to be told the truth. Many will lie straight to your face, then deny they ever said it. - Toxic work culture. Complete lack of respect for employees. General rule of thumb for treating employees is bullying, shaming, harassement and intimidation by fear. Overworked employees, showing no appreciation. High level of expectations for the amount of work production to the point of impossible. "you're lucky to work here" mentality. They have some great loyal and dedicated employees who they do not respect. Many have been leaving once they realize they deserve better, and the type of harassment and behavior that goes on in Methods is not tolerated in most organizations. - Lots of dead wood, and despite how much the top bulllies, lacks the kahonas to deal with real problems. - Management has no formal background in any of their positions. Most have "earned" their way to the top through seniority and are improperly managing the organization. Need to bring in individuals who actually know how to run a company and drive a sales team. - Less than standard pay, little vacation time, no flexibility, - No growth encouragement, no mentoring. - Typical behavior that is protected would be a result of immediate dismissal in many other organizations. Many instances/behaviors fall under the category of Sexual Harassment, but like most of the complaints made, they intimidate the employee and shove them under the rug. - Unscrupulous behavior by management. "Do as I say, not as I do". While leadership takes the "i'll give myself the best of everything on the company" they expect the lower level employees to accept rock bottom. - Oh and lack of diversity - lets not even go there. Lots of racial slurs being slung, women are definately second class citizens, i'd even categorize many as Mysogonists. I would consider ths place "Modern Day Madmen"

Pros

Some people there were nice.

Cons

When I put in my 2 weeks notice and they were interviewing for my replacement, they legitimately would not hire a black woman to fill my position, even though she was more than qualified to do so, because she was a) black and b) a woman. He said her dreadlocks would stand out (in a bad way). He openly joked about this in front of his employees. Pathetic.

Pros

Good pay. 1hr lunch. Casual. ). Company is driven by excellence, appearance and is very clean. You make your own future here via hard work and loyalty.

Cons

Significant sexual innuendo if not out-right harassment. HR is overworked and under-trained. President frequently degrades managers and yells during corporate meeting (even F-Bombs often).
