Pros
People seem to get on well in London with a great office location and competitive salary/benefits. Good client base with interesting, strategic work. Opportunity to travel and work in other locations. Senior leadership are very knowledgeable and the founder clearly cares about the success of the company.
Cons
Very legalistic hierarchy e.g. Junior AE reports into AE. Provides a great opportunity for people to line-manage at an early age, but then leaves people with inexperienced managers. I joined at a turbulent time when lots of senior leadership had recently left which caused a management gap. Although I understand the new recent London MD has high approval ratings internally, which is great to hear. Also quite under-resourced internally which makes executing projects difficult.

Pros
Good mix of clients and projects. Rewards good performance and ambition. Flexible and supportive, good when you've got to balance work with a family. Nice atmosphere, good people, stable business. Pretty flat hierarchy, management role sleeves up and get involved with work. Not cut-throat like a lot of agencies.
Cons
Can be a bit quiet at times, but that has improved with the layout of the new office in Soho.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Metia full-time for less than a year
Pros
. Good location . Nice office . No pressure
Cons
. No career growth . No support . No training I was working in the creative Team. There was not much to do and the task I was carrying out were always the same meaning no stimulus to go to work. I wasn't included in any meeting and the line manager was not supportive.

Pros
Great location in Covent Garden
Cons
Great place for account managers. Terrible work environment for creatives. AMs get all the credit for creative work while they do nothing except set unrealistic expectations for clients. Bullying is rife.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Metia full-time for more than a year
Pros
Small company - everyone knows each other. you can come up with new and innovative ideas and push them
Cons
- high school kind of atmosphere - it doesn't matter how good you are or contribute to the company. All that matters is, how well you get on with the boss to get promoted or given better jobs. Really hard for family people to get recognized, as they don't have much time to join social drinking activities - that's where all the business happens. - managers and directors have their favorite kids (on the same low intellectual level) which get the best jobs - I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone having a wider horizon or comes from a good company. It is not the job what they sell it for.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Metia full-time for more than a year
Pros
Great location - the London office is on St Martin's Lane which is wonderful if youre into culture.
Cons
Metia only really has one client - Microsoft - which makes them complacent. They aren't interested in developing other clients. Creatives - designers, writers, etc aren't recognised for their work. All the praise, recognition etc goes to the client-facing person who licks the client's behind and emails your work to them.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookI worked at Metia full-time for less than a year
Pros
Nice people - lots of great, creative work - strong proposition about integrated campaigns.
Cons
Not enough 'PR' work for a PR pro like me, and not a big enough management/sales focus to change that. Shame, because I enjoyed the work I did there, but there simply wasn't enough to sustain my role. Also, I think large clients like to see the capability for integrated campaigns but ultimately buy specialist agencies, where as small clients can't afford a large, multi-discipline, integrated campaign.

Positive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Metia full-time
Pros
Laid back environment, great people, management has the foresight to change with the market. Lots of project to work on and work is always coming in
Cons
Can be a little quiet, sometimes difficult to integrate with other teams, more focused on junior staff. Although there is a lot of work, there's not a huge amount of variety.
