Can be difficult to get more hours

low pay, small staff, the pay is mainly the con.

-Insane push for credit card sales that alienated both customers and team members -Insane expectations for timing w/ truck and pushing inventory -Petty managers, favoritism, etc -Annoying corporate changes (like SCO changes) -Frustrating coupon policies, which upset customers who would be upset at cashiers

Customer service is not a corporate value; poorly-staffed stores and rush-rush policies discourage helping customers. Minimum-wage pay, and if you do your job well, you'll get a 15-cent raise annually. Zero appreciation for knowledgable, hard-working and long-term employees (I was there 8 years), whose only real raises come from increases to minimum wage. Few opportunities to advance to full-time positions.

Working with the general public

Understaffing on the busiest days of the week and too many tasks for only a few employees to handle.

Low pay. They start you off at the lowest they can. Like 10 bucks an hour. I started at $12. After 4 years there I only made like $13.50. Framers don't get commissions on sales. But Framing Managers get a cut of overall sales.

Was quickly scheduled for more hours than I originally requested and given customer framing responsibilities with no additional compensation and minimal training.
