RTO optics, tone-deaf leadership, and political puppeteering — not the public service I signed up for.

Smart, dedicated coworkers who still care about the mission Some teams are great despite upper leadership Good benefits on paper Good pay
Cons
Executive leadership is out of touch with employees and politically compromised RTO policy is punitive and unmoored from operational reality Zero transparency around layoffs/furloughs: staff kept in the dark and breadcrumbed information Morale is plummeting, and good people are quietly leaving; "love it or leave it" mentality from leadership Staff input is performatively “welcomed” but structurally ignored Policies implemented without evidence, evaluation plans, or genuine feedback mechanisms

Pros
Lots of movement possible within the organization, many people passionate about their job, and remote work is still acceptable.
Cons
Pay is generally less than other companies and reorganizations are VERY common, make little sense, and strangle the organization mission. They claim the benefits are amazing, but they're not, not at all.
