Got given a lot of responsibilities quickly, and there were a lot of opportunities to work on interesting (although often old) engineering equipment. Good starting point for the process engineering career.

Cons

Stressful and always busy. I didn't mind it but if you don't stay on top of things there's a bit of a blame culture

You have to have political skill to survive and you have to loudly praise your results otherwise it will not be recognised. There are cases when you can be treated unfairly. Good managemet skills much overrated here compared to technical skills
