Pros

Truly none. It’s accessible to most train lines. That’s it.

Cons

This is a law factory, not a firm or a service, a comple factory. Every minute of being in the office is tracked and must be accounted for. The work is unbelievabley dull, and most of your time is spent re-doing terrible work coming from overseas. The “company” is dominated by a tiny group of “executives” and “managers” who are as mean and robotic as they are ineffective and disorganized. There is a blind and nearly militant adherence to a “toolkit” that simply does not work. Almost every project is ran like a disaster, constant crisis mode. HR is a joke, they are petty, unfair and at times dishonest. The “benefits” given are whatever minimum requirement the law says an employer must provide. The culture is awful. Your co-workers will likely be those too unmotivated or unskilled to make it anywhere else. Or they’re just complete weirdos. There might be a small handful of high level employees who are kind decent people. But most likely they will leave before you get to work with them much. There are others who are so rude and socially maladjusted they will not even acknowledge your presence in a room, speak to you like a fellow human being, or just act with any sense of decency. One positive I suppose is that there is no unequal treatment. Everyone is treated the same. Treated poorly.

Pros

Paycheck was always on time. Work in respected businesses.

Cons

The company and project were a mess from top to bottom. 99% of people here are just earning a paycheck until they can find gainful employment anywhere else. The management is heavy handed and incompetent and treats employees like sweatshop laborers (and even say so!). I am not exaggerating when I say this is a horrible company to work for and only take the job if you absolutely need income. Even then I guarantee you, you will hate it within a month as we did. The only good thing in the 6+months I've been here is that my colleagues are great; intelligent, friendly, humorous, and caring.

Pros

Your co-workers are lovely, disenfranchised attorneys like you. They're smart, kind, wise people. Also, everyone who has left Mindcrest has left to amaaaaazing jobs. Myself included.

Cons

Where to start.... the job is awful and terrible. You will be doing mindless and meaningless work. You are not trained well, criticized for nearly every error, and messaged on a daily basis about why you haven't done more. You are a number to these people. They do not care about you. They will lie to you, manipulate you, keep you on this project until the very end but claim the project has much more time left than it. Also, on the whole, women are paid MUCH less than men here. If you are desperate for work, OK. But I can't emphasize enough to you that retrospectively, I would have rather spent the time I spent at mindcrest ANYWHERE else. Janitorial work, for instance.
