I have been working at Mindvalley full-time for more than a year

    Pros

To be very very honest, I truly love working at Mindvalley. It's not easy (what is, haha?), but it's so worth it! * International environment of very diverse individuals (56 nationalities!) who are constantly aiming to develop and grow themselves. Seriously, every colleague has a magnificent story or insight that would expand your view to life * Tons of personal development opportunities (free courses, books, gym,...

    Cons

    * Fast pace and changes in strategy. Strategy, but not the mission :) It can be confusing if you like stability and clear plan 1 year ahead. At Mindvalley, we try, we check, we take new things..if they don't work - start something else. And that can be frustrating 100%. * Some ideas might be put down or there can be decisions made by senior leaders which do not support you, sound good or promising. If your ego is high...

    I worked at Mindvalley full-time

    Pros

Incredible people. Incredible office. You’re doing good work for the betterment of the world, and you get to have fun along the way. I learned massively and gained an overall positive experience. I don’t regret it, but....

    Cons

Firstly, Vishen is crazy. And I don’t mean that disrespectfully (most geniuses are, no?). I truly believe his heart is in the right place. He just runs a wonky operation and often contradicts his own statements. I won’t get specific but I’m sure any employee can give you countless examples. The work environment does reflect this chaos: you’ve been warned. Unfortunately, the company was built on (and is still run...

I have been working at Mindvalley full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Not only will you experience career growth, you will also see other areas of your life improve. Personally, I have experienced so much growth working here, and I look forward to coming to the office every single day. Coworkers here are very supportive and caring. They give you all the love and support you will need to grow as a professional or as an individual. Also, if you are a self-motivated individual, you will...

    Cons

There is no downside to working here if you can adapt to a fast-moving environment. Don't expect a manager to hand-hold you. You are expected to be proactive when it comes to putting your ideas forward and executing them.

    Cons

    - Compensations and Benefits as being an employee are not the best. Also, the employees have to pay for attending our external events - For people who are not used to a constantly changing environment, might be a bit stressful - People tend to overwork and invest a lot of time growing the company, a lot of people are doing it because they love their job. However, there are also many times when you have to work overtime....

    Advice to Management

Management is continuously growing and improving which is lovely. Few suggestions: - Focus more on developing the people in the company and their leaders. How fast we grow depends a lot on how fast we learn and test things. Don't leave this only up for people to do. - Focus on hiring more and better people. Sometimes because of lack of skills or resources in specific departments other people have to overwork and experience...

I have been working at Mindvalley full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's the first job from which at the two-year mark I have no plans on leaving. The main reason here is that it is much more than a job, it's a lifestyle. In order to thrive employees want to feel empowered, trusted and know that their job is meaningful. I believe I have all that + freedom. For me it's about the freedom to create, freedom to work from anywhere, travel and meet inspiring people (celebrities and customers)...

    Cons

Everything has two coins of the medal. Yes, there are stressful and overwhelming days. We are working on projects that challenge us, so the key here is to hit the sweet spot that my projects and tasks would be just a bit harder than my abilities so they are engaging and challenging. I am still learning to hit that spot sometimes. But I would not exchange that challenge because I know it keeps pushing me forward to becoming...

    Cons

if you are unorganised, or not sure what you want, and you don't want to speak up and get help from your team mates, you might got lost.

    Advice to Management

    - Need more endorsement on some of the operation policies.

    I worked at Mindvalley full-time

    Pros

Beautiful office: KL HQ in Menara UOA Bangsar is nice. Satellite office in Kl Sentral is small but ok. Never been to Kota Kinabalu office, but looks basic. Diversity of people: 40++ nations (as stated on the company’s website) The company is adventurous in exploring new ventures, innovations and technologies. You can choose to be a great leader once you left Mindvalley. The learning curve is high and politics...

Office environment: be prepared to shift physically because the company goes thru restructuring every 6 months and a high chance the restructuring can involve termination of employment. Please know that the Malaysian Labour Law applies to all foreign workers that are currently working in Malaysia. You have the same rights as like any Malaysian employees. Don't let anyone in Mindvalley strong arm you into resignation...

    Advice to Management

Advice to Vishen (CEO): I think you're a nice guy, but not a great leader with business acumen. You sometimes lack the humanity values you preach so much during the weekly report in Hall of Awesomeness. You have some bad people working for you as deemed to be your "valuable indispensable" side kicks. They've been with you for more than 5 years and have played you well for you to fully trust their judgments and decision...
