Pros

lots of talented people in sales and engineering, good legacy docker technology

Cons

top level management lifetime with the company is a few months if they disagree with the CEO, no corporate vision or strategy and the company tries to avoid paying commission

Worked with sales focused on short term rather than customer's success Unexperienced people managers raised by a cover-my-ass and blaming culture let to a risk-averse approach to tasks & cautious work atmosphere High fluctuation: part of my interview partners left before I started

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences and we hope that in the future we can perhaps work together again. It is unfortunate that your experience with your managers did not meet your expecations. In recent months we have tried to focus on training and development of staff in order to ensure that everyone in a leadership position is prioritising the well being of their reports. We have encouraged managers to have more of a coaching mentality so that they are facilitating the professional growth of their reports. We hope that these efforts will bear fruits in the upcoming months to the extent that teams work more harmoniously together. Unfortunately, there has been a need to make layoffs in the last couple of years but these have been no more than usual; covid was a tough period for many technology companies and I can assure you that we always aim to limit layoffs to what is absolutely necessary.

Pros

- People who you work with on a daily basis are very good - Remote culture and flexibility - Trying to improve product stack and marketing (but behind competitors) - Engineering team

Cons

- Poor leadership who have a pattern of taking bad decisions - Never stick to one vision, always changing (can be a good but also a bad thing) - Complex commission plan and commission payments not clear - Demotivated sales org - Staff churn -- either leaving or being fired, especially those who counter the status quo
