There is a lot of employee turnover at Miva and it's most likely due to the fact that employees do not get paid very much compared to other similar positions. Miva has a glamorous outside and attracts people because it's a fun, easy-going environment on the outside. However, once inside, things look very different. Employees get reprimanded on a daily basis, often for things that are out of their control. There's a lot of micro managing going on, especially when "lower" employees get promoted to supervisory positions. Certain managers will say that they're passionate about training people, but they're terrible teachers and yell at you for not knowing the answer to things they never taught you. My *favorite* question from one of the managers is "what caused you to not know this?" Employees often seem afraid about getting fired for random reasons or no reason at all.

It is a bit far from where I live. Now let me talk about pay... The pay is not good at all. It is FAR below average for San Diego and I do not feel like the company values their employees very well. If you are looking for a place to start a career I probably would look somewhere else. The opportunities for promotions and growth for individuals are slim to none.
