Bad places to work. Poor safety, management leaving, and fake reviews

Pros

Nothing that you couldn't get elsewhere

Cons

Google 'Monolith cooks a man alive' or 'Monolith fined by SEC' if you want to learn about the company and these are both just from the last few months. They'll say they care about safety, but by their actions, they clearly don't. You can't trust many reviews on here because managers will watch employees fill them out. Company doesn't look like it will work out. DOE loan has remained conditional for 2+ years and in the last 12 months scores of managers and even C-level executives have jumped ship to competitors. Would not recommend working here.

Pros

Good Pay. Striving to make a positive environmental impact.

Cons

Have a whole list of core values but rarely follow them. Intentionally understaff the backbone of the company - operations, requiring operators to come in on many 'scheduled off' days. Do not care about work / life balance within operations, will schedule you for up to two weeks straight with no off days. YOU WILL ALMOST NEVER HAVE A FULL WEEKEND OFF. You must use vacation time to insure you're off on days that you're already scheduled off. (They will schedule you off on certain days, and then change the schedule the day before your weekend and expect you to be at work. This happens on a bi-monthly basis.) Company blames operations when something in their *very young* technology isn't operating as planned. Operations management deflects blame to operators.

Poor Management/Leadership. Poor Safety Culture

Pros

Thursday lunch to collaborate with coworkers, stock, and fun company events

Cons

Poor poor leadership. Safety matters most (company core value) doesn’t get followed. Refer to monolith safety incidents in the news. Enjoy the ride(another company core value) is only applicable to upper management. Any plant worker will tell you that. Technology is far from vetted out. Management doesn’t care about your work life balance so be prepared to work a lot. They hire managers who maybe be decent in a vetted out technology but most don’t want to take accountability or step foot in the plant and have some responsibility here. Many good people have already left for various reasons.
